Sander Camillo has the class to once again dispose of Silk Blossom, with Gilded, Hope 'N' Charity and Alderney all having every right to be in the line-up. Having finished fourth on her Newmarket debut in May, Sander Camillo was fully expected to leave that run behind when lining up as favourite for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. She did not disappoint, flashing home under a confident ride from Frankie Dettori, with Silk Blossom her nearest pursuer well held in second. Jeremy Noseda fully expects her to develop into a live 1,000 Guineas prospect, and a follow-up here can only boost connections's faith in the American-bred filly. This Group 2 contest is even hotter than the Albany, with Gilded out to add to her Queen Mary success. However, she has yet to race over six furlongs, and will do well to make it six in a row. Whatever her fate here, she has entries in the big sales races later on and should continue to be followed. Clive Cox is looking for a big run from Hope 'N' Charity, and as he pointed out earlier this week, she has done nothing wrong so far, with wins at Leicester and over the course-and distance under her belt. This is obviously a big step up in class, but she has worked well at home. However, Philip Robinson, who has partnered her both times, now rides Alderney who absolutely bolted up on her York debut last month. She holds an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at The Curragh and is held in very high regard, so could be the one to give Sander Camillo most to do.
