Verdict

Day Flight has gone from strength to strength this season and chases a four-timer following an impressive victory in the Ormonde Stakes, he can get the better of Gamut and Songlark. John Gosden¿s colt showed tremendous courage when landing that prestigious Chester contest, where he got the better of Shabernak by a comfortable neck. He travelled really well throughout that event and will have no problems with this drop in trip and as Shabernak went on to score at Sandown over the weekend, the form looks rock solid. Sir Michael Stoute¿s Gamut finished five lengths behind Bandari in the Hardwick Stakes at Royal York, and should be involved in the finish. Songlark gained a gutsy win at Pontefract on his return to the track, and as with most Goldolphin horses this season he should come on for the run. Classy old-timer Millenary adds even more spice to this terrific contest, but it is hard to ignore Day Flight in his current mood and he gets our vote.
