A typically difficult Newmarket maiden with many top stables represented. The Visualiser in the Godolphin entry and has to be respected along with the Marcus Tregoning pair Moohimm and Shahin, but we will take a chance with the superbly bred Giganticus. The Barry Hills trained colt is making his racecourse debut but will know doubt know what is required. His is by Giant's Causeway out of a top French mare and is a half brother to numerous winners including the very smart Diffident. So long as he doesn't drift alarmingly in the betting he looks the one to be on. The Visualiser made a very pleasing debut when third to Porters here last month and as with most of the Godolphin runners this season he should show plenty of improvement. Moohim is by Saddler's Wells so may may need a bit of cut in the ground, and so Shahin looks the pick of the two Tregoning runners being by Knigmambo out of String Quartet. The market should prove invaluable here but Giganticus is bred to be special and gets our vote.
