In depth

Verdict

Citron Major usually needs a run but won off similar marks on good to firm at York and Windsor last year. Beyond Equal looks too high in the weights on his return to action, however, while Highland Dress probably didn’t achieve much when successful on the Fibresand earlier this year. Danzan is having a first run for Tim Easterby but Spirit Of May could be interesting if continuing last year’s progress and Ice Lord has been a grand servant down the years. Wentworth Falls finished just ahead of EQUITATION in last year’s Portland at Doncaster but the latter was apprentice-ridden and given plenty to do. He could reverse the form with Harry Bentley taking over the reins.
