Verdict

Pagan Dance has the services of Frankie Dettori and is taken to prevail here at the main expense of Wunderwood and Fine Palette. The selection is a course and distance winner and he ran well when second behind Dissident on this track last time out. He found trouble in running that day and was a shade unlucky, but compensation surely awaits here. Wunderwood had his problems at Newbury with his jockey reporting that he never travelled, but he is capable of much better than he showed that day and he could be an interesting each-way alternative to our selection. Fine Palette is in fine form and is chasing a hat-trick here but he does not enjoy the fast ground and he would appreciate any rain which would certainly enhance his chances. Of the remainder, Alkaased did little wrong when finishing second behind Dovedon Hero at Leicester and he has to be considered, but for the winner we return to Pagan Dance.
