In depth

Verdict

Flying Goose can prevail at the expense of Classira and Big Noise, with Transcend expected to play his part as well. Having run well on each of his first two starts, Flying Goose made it third time lucky when bursting through to score at Folkestone three weeks ago, and although it would be unwise to go completely overboard about the form, Luca Cumani's inmate may turn out to be not badly treated for his handicap bow. He is selected ahead of Classira who takes a two-grade drop after finishing a creditable third on her first venture into handicap company here a fortnight ago. Big Noise is already two out of three, including when successful here last time, but he might prefer easier ground. Mind you, the extra furlong will come in handy, so he cannot be totally discounted either. Transcend is another that might not relish the quick conditions, but he has first-time blinkers to help. Another tricky one to call can go to Flying Goose.
