Some well-bred youngsters turn out here, and a chance is taken with Ruby Light over the likes of Blue Rhapsody, Dream Sea and Melodramatic. Four of these have seen the racecourse before, including Mick Channon's Dream Sea, but there are a whole host of newcomers here, and one of them in particular catches the eye, and that is Ruby Light. Sir Michael Stoute's filly is by Fantastic Light out of a Shirley Heights mare, and although she will be seen to better effect over further next year, she has been working well enough at home to merit respect here. Blue Rhapsody's dam is a half-sister to top two-year-old Blue Duster, while Melodramatic's stable has hit form with a vengeance. John Gosden is double-handed, with Richard Hughes on the newcomer Sense Of Joy, and all in all, in what is a bit of a guessing game, the pin comes down on Ruby Light who could be one to follow.
