Verdict
David Nicholls is not normally far away in these big handicaps and SOMETHING can further enhance his strike-rate, with Intense and Kyllachy Star also on the shortlist. The selection was only narrowly beaten at Ascot last month when he finished third behind Advanced. He has not won on the turf for over four years but he is well handicapped as a consequence and he has a good draw today. Intense is an unexposed filly and she put some of her obvious problems behind her when scoring over a mile here last month. She has to be of interest today, but the drop in trip is perhaps not ideal. Kyllachy Star has his optimum trip and ground today and when those factors have been in his favour he has generally been knocking on the door. Richard Hannon won this race last year and Instalment represents his hope this time around. He has plenty of ability but he has been a little disappointing of late and he is probably better over 6f. Something will not be for everyone, but he gets our vote today.
