Individual Talents looked a shade unlucky at Yarmouth last time and, under Jamie Spencer, is taken to make amends at the main expense of Mexican Pete and Lautrec. The last mentioned steps up in trip and, being by Peintre Celebre, should appreciate the longer distance although one previous attempt at 11 furlongs suggests that may not be the case. Mexican Pete has found one too good in both starts since winning at Warwick and has to be respected but they all have it to do to beat Individual Talents. The Stuart Williams-trained filly has shown improved form since switched to handicaps two starts ago when second at Nottingham and was given too much to at Yarmouth last time, running on strongly close home to be beaten a head. Apprentice ridden then, the selection has the assistance of Jamie Spencer today and that may help to offset the rise in the weights since Yarmouth. Shape Up and Broughton Spirit are others worthy of a mention but Individual Talents has obvious claims and looks worth another chance.
