Not much strength in depth here and Gaye Kellaway must have every chance of completing a quick double with the in-form Vortex, who can prove too strong for recent winner Must Be Magic and African Sahara. Vortex has really hit form of late and can run off the same mark as when successful on the All-Weather recently. Although that was over seven-furlongs, he is just as effective over this mile. Must Be Magic, with the exception of one run, has been wonderfully consistent for one of his ability. His Kempton victory was probably one of his best efforts to date and off just a 4lbs higher mark, must come into the reckoning. There shouldn't be much between him and African Sahara (4th at Kempton) on these terms, but Must Be Magic is clearly on good terms with himself at present and is taken to confirm the form. Of the others, Hugh The Man is interesting as he has done most of his racing on the All-Weather to date. Impressive when beating Ashville Lad over this trip at Wolverhampton back in February, he wouldn't appear that well treated. However, it could be he will find improvement for returning to turf, especially on this good ground, as his two previous efforts on turf were on very soft ground. He will be all the better for his recent outing, his first for nearly three months and could provide the main threat to Vortex, who is taken to land the hat-trick.
