In depth

Verdict

This won't take much winning and the three-year-old The Resdev Way has been hinting at ability over shorter trips, though flopped when tried over this distance at Redcar in the spring. Kicking The Can was twice second over course and distance before a less impressive effort here at the start of the month. If back on song, he must go well and Highfield Lass is another likely to be thereabouts on her best form. BOLD HENMIE won on Tapeta at Wolverhampton last year and has been going well over hurdles this summer. While not particularly well handicapped, he gets the nod as none of the others have much to recommend them.
