Shot to Fame, Melinsa Blue and Superior Star are the three to look at here, with a chance taken that Shot for Fame has slipped down the handicap enough to win his first race for three years. The selection is a consistent type who invariably finds one or two too good, but he appears to be well treated on recent placed efforts. He can handle the ground, and in a race where solid form is thin on the ground, and others seem to be handicapped up to the hilt, a chance is taken that he can pick up the winning thread. Richard Fahey's Superior Star ran well here on his re-appearance, but that was over ten furlongs and he may not be so effective over this shorter trip. His only previous success came on a faster surface, but he can hit the frame.Malinsa Blue had not won since her two year old days when scoring twice this season, but those two wins have come on a faster surface and she has gone up the handicap as a consequence. Her defeat at Pontefract last time halted her winning run and she is opposed. Shot To Fame can re-kindle past glories, she once won a Group Three contest, and take this.
