Cape Royal is well-drawn here and could go well in this open affair with Out After Dark and Dazzling Bay also shortlisted, and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection hails from the Tim Easterby yard who are in good form at present, and he will be suited by the return to this minimum trip. He has a little to find with some of today's rivals from a recent run at Musselburgh when he finished sixth behind Bond Boy, but he missed the break that day and if he can get away on terms tonight then he should take plenty of beating. Out After Dark is on really good terms with himself at present and he won well last time when beating Dame De Noche at Beverley. This is more competitive but it will be a surprise if he is not able to make the frame. Cape Royal would definitely have claims on the pick of his form and with his yard in good form he looks set to run a big race at a big price. However, we are reluctant to put him forward as our selection because the ground may be a little on the quick side for him. Whistler and Malapropism are both capable of running well here and are others to consider, but in an open handicap we will side with Dazzling Bay as our idea of the winner.
