In depth

Verdict

Demolition, Titunius and Hawkit make the shortlist in an open contest and Demolition is given the nod to step up on his re-appearance effort. Hawkit won successive races last year, and generally prefers a little more cut than he has here, but he races off the same mark as when last successful and looks well treated. He may just need his re-appearance run. Titinius has not won since his three-year-old days but he ran well on his last start on the Flat, finishing a close second at Nottingham. He receives weight all round here and looks capable of being in the shake up if race fit after a five month lay off. Demolition lost his maiden tag over this trip last season and has run encouragingly over shorter trips since. He has slipped down the handicap and with conditions to suit, Demolition can knock down his rivals.
