GLASSHOUGHTON who was noted staying on well at Warwick recently can land this; Artsu and Avontuur at the foot of the weights are put forward for the placings. Without a win in twelve outings this season, Glasshoughton's handicap mark has dropped an aggregate of 8lb in the process and could just be about to strike once again off his mid 70s mark. The test of stamina will be to his liking given the fact he has twice scored at Carlisle. Artsu will be suited by the prevailing ground conditions and has been dropped a total of 4lb from the 78 mark which she was allotted when she last won. Avontuur scored last time at this venue and given his running style, will be suited by running through tiring horses in this ground. Zabeel Tower drops back to six furlongs having been campaigned predominantly over seven furlongs and a mile. It could be that he is a touch high in the weights at the moment while Woodsley House was found out by the step up in grade last time.
