In depth

Verdict

The short list for the bumper consists of Middleton Dove, Bobby Gee and Mister Frog with the selection being Middleton Dove. A 40,000 euros purchase, the Nicky Richards-trained Middleton Dove showed plenty of promise on his Kelso debut and looks to be a leading player today. Bobby Gee's fourth to Super Nick looks solid in the context of this race and he is one to consider, while Mister Frog's Sedgefield debut also suggested ability. Neutron is another to have shown promise and can go well, while Of Course showed a modicum of ability on her racecourse debut over 13 furlongs at Doncaster. Finally, Hedchester is related to a number of winners and these appear to be the main ones to focus on with the selection being Middleton Dove.
