In depth

Verdict

Money For Fun is taken to beat Gibsons and The Italian Job in a tricky opener. Gibsons has reserved his best runs for the track and ran well to be second here last time. That was over six furlongs and he was only run out of it inside the final furlong so this reversion to the minimum trip may well suit. The Italian Job has run well in nurseries this season and has shown his liking for an all weather surface. He was a good second at Wolverhampton last time having shown plenty of pace, but he may not be suited by this slower surface. Money For Fun has been placed twice recently in maiden contests and this represents a drop in grade. She is less exposed than some of her rivals and can improve further. Money For Fun can justify the selection.
