Ex-Irish point-to-point winner Station Island looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account over hurdles and gets the vote to do so with Kelly Pride and Sea Knight rated the main dangers. Kelly Pride is becoming exposed now and it will be a surprise if Sue Smith's gelding is good enough to win this. Sea Knight certainly makes more appeal. Alistair Charlton's gelding showed signs of ability behind Paphian Bay in a similar contest last month before running second to the 106-rated Great As Gold (winner again on Saturday) over course and distance last time. However, we just prefer to side with Station Island, who has confirmed the promise of his bumper debut run with decent efforts behind Fair Prospect at Wetherby and Calvic at Towcester. On the latter occasion the six-year-old had some useful types behind and he is taken to go one better here. The remainder make very limited appeal with Roobihoo probably the best of them but Station Island is going the right way and gets the vote.
