Great As Gold has taken well to fences and can see off the challenges of Capybara and Skenfrith, even though he has to give weight away all round. Roman Rampage is also worth a mention after he made a satisfactory chasing debut at Sandown last month and he is one to monitor with an eye to the future. Skenfrith will like the ground and appears to be getting his act together as a chaser. However, he has more on his plate in this company and needs to find improvement to figure. Capybara won an Irish point-to-point earlier in his career and has adapted his game to racing under rules. He likes a good test of stamina and will be hard to keep out of the frame in this company. Nevertheless, Great As Gold put in a much improved performance at Towcester 16 days ago and is given another chance to shine whilst he is in such obvious good heart.
