Only a handful of these make any real appeal and it may be best left to Copplestone, Tonjoneski and Octane to scrap it out. And The last named just edges the vote after some solid performances this season. The Mark Brisbourne-trained seven-year-old does have plenty of knockers and his resolution has been called into question on more than one occasion. But he is a tough horse to get past when he is on song and, with similar doubts about the majority of the field, he does not have much to find to come out on top today. Copplestone is a similar character but has plenty to prove at the weights so Tonjoneski, who has been the subject of a couple of gambles recently, could be the one to give Octane the most to do.
