held up, headway over 2f out, ridden and one pace final furlong
in touch, pushed along over 3f out, ridden 2f out, weakened final furlong
dwelt, raced in rear and always behind
mid-division, effort over 2f out, soon weakened
track leader, pushed along over 3f out, ridden 2f out, and weakened final furlong
mid-division, ridden over 2f out, no impression on leaders
held up towards rear, headway over 3f out, ridden and stayed on final 2f
slowly into stride, towards rear, never dangerous
made all, ridden and quickened 2f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong
prominent, pushed along and lost ground 3f out, switched right 2f out, ridden and stayed on final furlong
Only a handful of these make any real appeal and it may be best left to Tony Tie, Cyclonic Storm and Satyr to scrap it out. And Tony Tie edges it over Cyclonic Storm, despite what appears to be a welter burden at the weights. The Jim Goldie-trained selection displayed great tenacity in scoring at Beverley last week and can be relied upon to run his race again here. He is proven as a effective weight carrier and, unlike Cyclonic Storm, he should have no problems with the predicted going. He is also still treated off his current mark on the pick of his form and may still have enough in hand to concede weight to some inconsistent rivals here.
