Pertemps Networks has proved himself a reliable juvenile hurdler throughout the course of the national hunt season after just the one handicap outing on the level last term. That handicap outing was in a bog at Beverley after outings in maidens. Rated 55 here, it is likely he is a blot on the handicap having been rated 120 over hurdles. He appeared set to land the Scottish Triumph Hurdle at Musselburgh in February before unseating his rider two out. He is a confident selection here. Dangers to Mick Easterbys' charge include Hill Billy Rock for which the market should provide the best indication to his chances while Calzaghe shaped encouragingly at Doncaster, however, the form of that event should be treated with caution as the winner was well beaten since. Karmest is 8lb better off with Calzaghe and was finishing with a real rattle in that Doncaster contest. Hailing from the Easterby yard, Pertemps Networks should be monitored in the market but appears thrown in here off 55.
