Fishforcompliments is the class act in the field and while he has failed to justify connections faith in him to date he could prove too good for these. The market will indicate what connections expect today. Gallantry has been performing consistently on the all-weather throughout the winter and with race fitness vital to the outcome of races at this stage of the season, he is a danger to the selection. He has not been getting the fast pace he desires in small fields but today that is not likely to be an issue. The easier surface would be a worry as he rarely races on anything slower than good on turf. Wigwam Willie is 5lb better off with Electric Warrior after finishing 1l in front of him at Pontefract last week. He scored on his second outing over course and distance last season and from a middle draw and with a pipe opener under his belt he should not be too far away. Electric Warrior has it all to do at the weights and may not be suited by the prevailing ground conditions but should come on for that recent outing also. Fishforcompliments was this time last year preparing for his tilt at the 2,000 Guineas and while he is not as good as connections first thought, he should possess too much class for this lot.
