In depth

Verdict

King Of York has a first run for Scott Dixon after picking up place money for Kevin Ryan but this looks between the Newmarket raiders. It's hard to separate the pair but the 7lb received by ZAMEKA just tilts the balance in favour of the Varian colt who made a most pleasing debut when a close third at Kempton with the rest well beaten off. He also looked as if he'd benefit considerably from the experience. Tiber Flow rates a tough opponent though after a convincing success here on debut and will appreciate this extra furlong, and William Haggas has a line of form to work with as he trained the winner of that Kempton race in which the selection featured.
