Lord Singer didn't have much in the tank when winning at Plumpton last time and is passed over in favour of COUNTY ZEN, whilst Sambulando and Cool Touch are respected. The selection is worth chancing on this return to the track after 510 days on the sidelines given the good form of the yard. His mark is 7lb lower than when third to Wingman in the 2008 Totesport Trophy at Newbury and this unexposed gelding can make a winning return to the fray. Lord Singer is 9lb higher in a better race after winning at Plumpton, Mohayer has been taking advantage of a good mark recently but is now back up in the weights, whilst blinkers need to have a big impact on Quartano as he drops in grade. Johnny Mullen has some solid novice form but is now up against the bigger boys, Sambulando was outclassed in the Imperial Cup but rates a player on his run behind Bothy, whilst Cool Touch is unexposed and has the beating of Sambulando on the Taunton Bothy run. Tyson should come on plenty for his reappearance here earlier in the month, whilst Olympian's second to Spirit River has been franked, however the vote is given to County Zen.
