SKI SUNDAY is an interesting runner for a yard that does well with it's Flat runners with Yemeni Princess and Capable Guest amongst those that boast more solid credentials. Nicky Henderson doesn't have many runners on the level but his strike rate isn't far off twenty per cent over the past five seasons and he's been handed an interesting recruit in Ski Sunday. The gelding developed into a very useful hurdler for Tim Vaughan, finishing second in the Fred Winter, but hasn't been seen since disappointing in April of last year in the Scottish Champion Hurdle. There's obviously a degree of trust that needs to be taken by those backing Ski Sunday but if he returns at anywhere near his best and can translate the improvement that he showed when hurdling back to the level then he could be hard to beat at this level. Yemeni Princess is unexposed and appears to be progressing whilst, at the other end of the spectrum, Capable Guest rolled back the years to win at Yarmouth and remains well handicapped on the pick of his old form. There are some other capable handicappers in the line-up but Ski Sunday has the potential to outclass them all.
