slowly into stride, raced alone on stand rail and soon well on terms, led inside final 3f, ridden clear inside final 2f, unchallenged
outpaced headway 2f out stayed on to take 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner
chased leader, chased winner over 2f out, soon no chance, lost 2nd inside final furlong
Dr Zalo is given the confident vote here ahead of Holly Springs and Amira. The selection finished in front of Holly Springs last time out on this track over 6f. He is dropped in trip here which should not be a problem, he has ground conditions to suit and he should be capable of confirming those placings with Holly Springs from their last run. Holly Springs will be suited by the drop to 5f but she does not look entirely straightforward and although she has got an obvious chance we will take her on. Amira finished behind Holly Springs on her debut but she is sure to come on for that run and she is another with claims. Lindbergh was disappointing on his debut but he is interesting dropping back to the minimum trip and his yard are respected in these type of events. However, we will stick with Dr Zalo who looks the one to beat.
