Master Mahogany, Desert Hawk and Gjovic are the three for the shortlist here and the vote is given to Master Mahogany. Ron Hodges' 4-year-old has been in good form of late and his latest third behind Wind Chime in a competitive handicap at Bath reads well in the context of this race. A reproduction of that effort should suffice here and with conditions to suit he is hard to oppose. Desert Hawk is an unpredictable sort but he ran well in a handicap at Bath a couple of runs ago and if he could reproduce that effort he would have a leading chance here. However, his lack of consistency does count against him and for that reason we will take him on. Gjovic continues to frustrate but certainly has the ability to get his head in front here. However, he is better over further so we will oppose him on this occasion. The booking of Jamie Spencer for Arry Dash catches they eye and he is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Master Mahogany.
