Not too many of these have secrets from the handicapper however this quicker ground may see COEUR DE LIONNE in a better light and Ed Dunlop's gelding is given the vote ahead of Sweet Hollow. The selection has a rating of 79 which is still almost a stone below his highest winning mark back in September of 2007. He seems to come alive at this time of year and with Ryan Moore booked for the ride and this quicker ground in his favour then he is fancied to add a second turf win to his tally. Cosmea found Listed company too hot at Salisbury in August but bounced back with a sound effort at Goodwood last time out, Sharpazmax is consistent but doesn't have a great strike-rate. He holds Sweet Hollow on their run behind Tinaar at Kempton last time out but the filly really caught the eye having been given plenty to do and she remains capable of better; she has improved for the application of blinkers. Capable dual-performer Allez Frank represents shrewd connections and the market should help point to his chance, as it may help for assessing the claims of Benfleet Boy whose trainer is in good form at present. The consistent Colonel Flay is considered, as is the potentially well-treated Tilos Gem who has talent but also an in-and-out profile. An open handicap, however we are happy to side with Coeur De Lionne.
