Rayhani can follow up his recent win at the expense of Mersey Sound, Duty and Sphinx in an open-looking handicap. Rayhani looks very much like a horse that will relish today's trip, having come from virtually last to first to score at Ascot three weeks ago. That win came as no surprise, given that his previous race at Lingfield has worked out very well, and he should go close despite a rise in the handicap. Mersey Sound bounced back from a poor effort at Goodwood to finish second to Sir Monty at Newmarket recently and although starting to feel the handicapper's grip now, can make his presence felt as well as he has plenty of stamina. Duty ran well behind St Leger-bound Soapy Danger at Haydock despite his rider losing an iron, and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye. He has to be on the shortlist along with Sphinx who was in great form earlier in the season. Mister Right has been consistent in the main, and Zurbaran is still at the right end of the weights despite a 6lb penalty so is another to consider. A hard one for punters to call can go to Rayhani.
