The Godolphin team has found a decent opportunity for Meshaheer to open his account for the season, and he gets a confident vote to land the spoils here, with Sir Edwin Landseer and Alkaadhem the likeliest dangers. The latter won a mile maiden at Warwick on his recent debut. This Green desert colt is well related and open to plenty of improvement for the useful Marcus Tregoning stable. Sir Edwin Landseer wasn't beaten far in a similar event at Chester last weekend. He tries blinkers for the first time and is suited by forcing the pace. Kieren Fallon takes the ride for the in-form Paul Cole stable. Approval faces a stiff task on his reappearance, while Monkston Point would need some give in the ground to have any chance so Meshaheer looks to have an excellent chance. He did not get the run of the race when fourth to Trade Fair in a Group Three race at Newmarket three weeks ago. Earlier he finished a close second in a Group 3 in France and last year scored in Listed company. Suited by both ground and distance, Meshaheer takes a drop in grade and looks a decent betting proposition here.
