    Verdict

Baron Bolt never seems to run a bad race and was only beaten a neck off this mark at Newmarket on his reappearance. There is no reason why he won’t be in the firing-line again. Quench Dolly is the likely pace angle and should be cherry-ripe after a couple of runs at Bath. Ice Age disappointed when finishing behind Mazzini last time at Chelmsford but he wouldn’t be far away on his best form. POET’S VANITY has only raced over 6f once before and came up against Harry Angel. A former Group 3 winner, she was too keen on her reappearance at Kempton so it could be a worthwhile experiment dropping the filly back to sprint distances – she’ll love ground conditions today. Global Applause also has solid credentials back over 6f.
