Verdict
Several bang in-form handicappers contest this valuable prize. WHAT ABOUT CARLO is bidding to reprise last year's success and is a pound lower. He should be a working man's price and can give supporters a run for their money again with the ground having turned in his favour. Older horses have won the last two renewals, though three-year-olds have more than held their own down the years. Scarlet Dragon is improving at a rate of knots but is one of many that could find conditions testing. Muzdawaj should cope, however, and can reverse Haydock running with the penalised Lord Ben Stack. Baydar has always looked as though he would handle an easy surface and was completing a hat-trick when beating a number of these at Sandown last month – the excellent Josephine Gordon takes off 3lb. Imperial Aviator beat Autocratic in the spring and could play a part in first-time cheekpieces while the consistent Passover makes each-way appeal again.
