Cliffs Of Dover has a terrific strike-rate and is a real credit to connections. He’s won six times over hurdles and three times on the Flat, though was granted an easy lead over 2m at Haydock last week and is penalised for that success. Saroog arrives on a hat-trick after wins over slightly further at Goodwood and Sandown. He’s gone up another 5lb but Ryan Moore keeps the partnership intact. What A Welcome’s winning run came to an end at Ascot last month but he wasn’t disgraced, though this will stretch his stamina. SKY EAGLE has had a short break but was a progressive handicapper when last seen. He looked a bit unlucky when beaten by Shraaoh at Goodwood in June and has nothing to fear from Arab Moon on that run.
