FLAXEN FLARE, a former Cheltenham Festival winner, hasn’t managed to get his head in front since May 2015 but was second over fences at Perth last month and filled the same position behind Arctic Fire over hurdles at Cork 11 days ago. He probably still retains the ability to win a race like this. Ardera Cross has a good record here but the fences have been getting in the way lately. Jarob isn’t getting any younger but Master Appeal was in good form at the start of the summer and All Hell Let Loose ran well here in April and will have needed last week’s run at Kilbeggan.
