    Verdict

This is the best race of the day where plenty have chances and we'll take our chance with HOLBECK GHYLL who can take advantage of a feather light weight despite the excellent sprint record of Cheverton and the listed form of Chief Editor. The pick was last seen in June scoring off this mark in similarly hot race. Plenty of the runners he beat that day have gone on to run well in better races he also has a stone in hand on Chief Editor and six pounds on Cheverton and trainer Andrew Balding is more than capable of getting one ready after a break. Cheverton is one win from one run over course and distance and six from eight over this trip. A winner off a mark four pounds lighter in a good race last time he has a chance of adding to his record. Chief Editor was placed off this mark in a listed event last time and although his form is some of the strongest here he may need a reprieve from the handicapper to score again. Green Manalishi, has a good record at this track but is looking a little exposed these days but has place claims along with the consistent Cake but we side with Holbeck Ghyll to score.
