Quickfire is taken to make a winning debut before going on to better things, with fellow debutantes Evasive Quality and Divine Diva ones to note. Some highly-thought of young fillies turn out in the opening race on the card including Quickfire who is from the first crop of Dubai Millennium out of Daring Miss. Sir Michael Stoute's inmate is entered for the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York in August, and by then it is hoped that she will have already made her mark. Kieren Fallon's mount has by all accounts done enough on the gallops to suggest that a first-time-out win is on the cards and she gets the vote. Evasive Quality is a half-sister to Spinola and her stable can normally be relied upon to house some quality stock. Richard Hannon saddles two runners, with Dane O'Neill on the newcomer Divine Diva, while both Barry Hills and John Dunlop are also represented. This could turn out to be a hot contest, with preference for Quickfire who can make an immediate impact.
