      Verdict

Hyades won his maiden at Yarmouth with plenty in hand and Henry Cecil's colt could be of interest on his handicap debut off a mark of 88 but another first time handicapper HOLYROOD seems better treated and gets the vote ahead of Dialogue. Mark Johnston's colt won three times form six starts as a juvenile, latterly when taking a conditions race at Wolverhampton, and he has to be respected back in a handicap today off what seems a fair mark. Barry Hills has his team in fine form and his runner Legislate looks to be going the right way but a 5lb rise for his latest effort when only third behind Perpetually at Newmarket looks harsh. Eastern Aria is now 5lbs higher than when scoring by the narrowest of margins at Lingfield in March and he looks best watched on his debut on turf. Ed Dunlop's Aqwaal won well at Sandown last time but a 9lb rise for that looks excessive and the son of Red Ransom may have to settle for minor honours today. Sehoy represents the in-form John Gosden stable so has to be considered but he needs to improve from his latest run when chasing home Fortuni at Lingfield has he has to race off a 5lb higher mark today. Preference then is for Sir Michael Stoute's Holyrood, who was a comfortable winner of his Yarmouth maiden last time and a 4lb rise for that effort is perfectly fair.
