Not for the first time, there is no form for backers to go on and the tentative vote goes to Illustrious Miss, who gets the verdict over Dashiki and Pinching. The last mentioned is a daughter of Inchinor trained by Henry Cecil, who has made a reasonable start to the season. The Barry Hills-trained Dashiki is a full sister to Dewhurst winner Distant Music. She would probably want even faster conditions to show her best and may do better in the middle of the summer. Brian Meehan has his string in good form at present so Favourable has to be respected, along with Richard Hannon's Pivotal filly Lucky Spin. James Fanshawe is more than capable of producing a two-year-old to win first time out so Private Jessica is another worthy of a mention. John Gosden's juveniles are more forward this season than has previously been the case so Tree Tops and Woman In White are both of interest, as is the Barry Hills-trained Shazana but for the vote we side with Illustrious Miss. David Loder's filly is a well-related daughter of Kingmambo and, given her trainer's fine record with juveniles, makes most appeal.
