Wild Pitch can land the finale at the expense of Ramsgill, Libre and Zinging. Wild Pitch has been well placed to land two of his last three starts, both wins on the Kempton Polytrack coming either side of a fair fourth on Turf at Newmarket. He obviously goes well for an inexperienced pilot, as anybody that saw his latest success will testify. Ridden with heavy restraint by apprentice Michael Swainton, he swept through from last to first to win like a good thing, and as he escapes a penalty for that win, he will surely take all the beating under the trainer's son here. Ramsgill wasted no time in scoring for his new yard when winning a similar race to this in easy fashion at Wolverhampton, and should at least give the selection a race. Libre has been placed on his last two starts and is better handicapped than last year, while Zinging is not the most consistent of animals. All in all, we will be very surprised if Wild Pitch does not make the most of his current mark here, given the ease of that latest success.
