ALICE ALLEYNE looks a filly to keep on your side and we'll do that by selecting her to get the better of Plume, whilst Dubai Media, Key Light and Sard help to give this race a solid look. Our pick was withdrawn having got upset in the stalls at Lingfield last week but the support she attracted that day suggested connections were hopeful of a huge run. As a juvenile she progressed nicely, culminating in a decisive win at Wolverhampton and whilst the bare form of that race probably leaves her with improving to do there's every chance a winter will have enabled her to do just that and we'll put our faith in Sir Michael once more. Plume is a filly of potential too; Richard Hannon's daughter of Pastoral Pursuits left her debut running well behind when demolishing a fair looking field at Haydock, improving for the quicker ground she'll also face here. An opening mark of 80 seems fair and there's every chance she'll win races from it. Dubai Media is a fascinating handicap newcomer - she's bred to be better than this - and the market will tell us more as to connections hopes whilst Key Light has a good attitude and should find some improvement for stepping beyond six furlongs for the first time. Sard was a decisive winner at Goodwood and could have more to offer for her in-form team but she'll need to settle better to take this off 79 whilst Catherines Call has been making hay against lesser opponents and looks opposable this time. Alice Alleyne could well be a Pattern-class filly in time and she's taken to start her climb up the ranks by winning this.
