Verdict
General Synod commands respect given his roots however next year may be his zenith and so preference is for the more precociously bred (and priced) TREASURY DEVIL. John Gosden's colt cost a million bucks and is out of a mare who was a triple winner at two and was also placed in the 1000 Guineas; sprinting looks the name of the game. Cocohatchee has three runs under his belt but he fluffed a good chance at Epsom last time and despite his fourth to Eucharist reading well he is taken on, with Colebrooke and Fleeting Tiger other newcomers to be interested in. Red Eyes is likely to appreciate further in time but he would arouse some interest with market support, a comment that also applies to the Richard Hannon duo of Reflect (pedigree suggests he will want ten furlongs before long) and General Synod (majority of relatives were better in their second season).
