Verdict

STORM RIDER had been beaten out of sight in three maidens on Turf but someone must have spotted something as he was well supported on his handicap debut at Lingfield last week and hardly broke sweat in winning by five lengths. This is tougher but a penalty appears unlikely to prevent a quick double. Graphene was wearing a hood for the first time when gaining a comfortable victory at Bath and if the headgear works again there's no reason why he shouldn't be in the shake-up, though he was beaten a long way by Nyanza at Kempton earlier. The latter is up 6lb for his latest success and may not be quite as effective on Turf. Loving Your Work has been narrowly beaten over 1m4f on his last two starts and is on a low enough mark to make his presence felt over what looks his best trip.
