Aidan O'Brien has won this three times in recent years but, on the whole, this season's crop of juveniles have needed a run. I am Beautiful, a half-sister to the Group 1 winner Rumpelstiltskin among others, was beaten a long way on testing ground at the Curragh but Simply A Star, a half-sister to Bracelet who won this last year, showed good pace for most of the way behind Icy Lady at Naas. With Ger Lyons in outstanding form Brown Bee, who cost 130,000 euros, has to be considered along with David Wachman's pair Curlylocks and Queen Nefertiti, both daughters of Galileo. Star Street made a reasonable debut over 7f at Limerick and the very fast ground could have been against her but the vote, in an interesting maiden, goes to SUGAR MILL as she's by Oasis Dream out of a two-year-old Listed winner whose first foal was a winner. Acid should win races in time though she's related to several middle-distance winners.
