Mythical Kid, Contentious and Cape Hawk are the three against the field in another tricky contest with Mythical Kid taken to make a winning debut. John Dunlop's Contentious was not unfancied on her Sandown debut and finished a respectable fourth in a small field, not beaten all that far. She is a related to a top class US filly and as a daughter of Giants Causeway must be respected. Richard Hannon's Cape Hawk is a half brother to four winners over sprint distances and ran well on his debut at Newmarket, racing prominently before tiring on the soft ground. That was a very encouraging performance, and with normal improvement expected, Cape Hawk can go close here. Mythical Kid cost $1.4m dollars as a yearling and is closely related to the top class Divine Proportions, a winning Group One performer. Sir Michael Stoute's representative should have plenty of quality, and related to another classy miler, Mythical Kid should also possess enough speed to make a winning start.
