A headache for punters and the handicapper alike so MR CORBY is only a speculative pick against Moonline Dancer and Freeforaday. The market needs to be watched closely as our selection is part-owned by Harry Findlay. He had put up a couple of fair efforts in maidens on fast ground so we will be quite happy to overlook his recent no-show on the Kempton polytrack. Richard Hannon has his usual battalion and Moonline Dancer appears the pick. She was not disgraced in a conditions stakes having taken a maiden at the track previously. Freeforaday was a little disappointing at Goodwood though the waiting tactics may have been slightly overdone. He cannot be ignored with John Best¿s yard now very much back amongst the winners. Fardiyeh did not look to stay seven furlongs in the Watership Down Stakes so reverting back to six is a sensible option. Transfixed is a typical David Evans type. She appears exposed though Cathy Gannon gets on particularly well with the filly. Astonishment has top weight though ran far better than his finishing position at Ascot suggests as he met severe trouble in running when the race began in earnest. Haatheq has not got home over seven and drops back to six on handicap introduction. Not a race for the housekeeping monies and Mr Corby can only be put forward as a tentative pick.
