Favourita is the obvious form pick on the evidence of her latest second behind Oaks winner Eswarah over course and distance and has to be respected but she has been hard to win with and preference is for the improving Karliyna, with Corcoran rated the best of the remainder. The selection has a bit to find with Favourita on a line through Eswarah but clearly improved from her debut running when cosily landing a Beverley maiden last month and, with further improvement to come from the half-sister to Kasthari, she is taken to follow up today. Valentin has yet to reproduce the pick of her juvenile form but Richard Hannon's filly may step up on previous form now that she tackles a longer trip, while David Elsworth's Art Eyes showed her best form when upped in distance at Goodwood last time. Ruby Wine ran promisingly when finishing in front of the selection in the course and distance maiden won by Eswarah and has claims on that evidence but has not been seen since and of more interest may be Amanda Perrett's Corcoran, who lost no caste in defeat behind subsequent Oaks runner-up Something Exciting in the Lupe last time. She may have been flattered by her proximity to the winner that day though and preference is for Karliyna, who looks a progressive filly and is taken to follow up her Beverley success before going on to better things.
