Rubber showed plenty of promise on her Goodwood debut but Richard Hannon's filly handled the cut in the ground really well that day and may be more at home on a softer surface so a chance is taken ton the newcomer Celestial Princess, who gets the vote ahead of Gillipops. The last mentioned is a stablemate of Rubber and has shown ability in both starts so far, latterly when fourth behind Give Me The Night at Wolverhampton last month. His experience makes the daughter of Xaar one to consider, along with another Hannon inmate Thornfield Clo, who is by Zafonic but may need the outing as has been the case with most of the stable's youngsters this term. Rod Millman has done particularly well with his juveniles this term so the twice-raced Suesam has to be respected as does David Elsworth's Indecent Proposal, who unseated Richard Quinn at the start at Sandown last week and is still an unknown quantity although there have to be reservations about her temperament. A market move for Zafantage would be of interest but the vote goes to Celestial Princess. Mick Channon has done well with his two-year-olds this term and this daughter of Observatory takes the eye on pedigree so may be good enough to make a winning debut in what would not appear to be the strongest of maidens at the track.
