In depth

Verdict

From a quartet of four-day entries, Nicky Henderson runs Style De Garde and Glynn. The former has been off that track again since returning from a lengthy absence with a third at Uttoxeter last September while the latter is having a first run over the minimum trip. Dino Velvet is almost guaranteed to run his race and the handicapper is starting to show him some leniency while Tegerek was in good form in the autumn, winning at Cheltenham and finishing third in the Greatwood at the same track in November when PROSCHEMA was pulled up. Dan Skelton’s charge had excuses that day, however, and has won a couple of jumpers’ bumpers lately to show he is back on song. Golden Taipan was chasing before winning a bumper himself at Kempton last month. That form has been franked with the third winning since and he appears to holds runner-up Millers Bank on 4lb better terms.
