        Verdict

        El Patriota justified his high rating earned in Uruguay with a comfortable victory in the trial for this in January. The slow pace probably aided his cause but he looked to have plenty in hand of runner-up Speight'spercomete, though Doug Watson's charge should do better with a stronger gallop. Endifaa, who was beaten 2 lengths into third, has since gone a place better though was beaten almost 8 lengths by PANADOL three weeks ago when the latter made a spectacular debut, making most at a very fast pace and coming home strongly. Mikael Barzalona's mount looks the one to beat on that form and there's the likelihood of further progress. Nayefah couldn't get anywhere near Mnasek in the Oaks but looks to have every chance of some place money.
